Who We Are
Take a look at the people in the pictures above. You’ll see people like them in every crowd. At the supermarket. At the football. In the pub. We’re no different from anyone else – except that we’re united by membership of a very special organisation. We’re Freemasons.
Some of us are as young as 18; some over 90. We include people from all walks of life; from bikers to beekeepers, musicians to medical professionals, and fishermen to the fighting forces. We set aside all our differences for our meetings. We even forbid talking politics or religion (though members must all have a belief in a supreme being. Which one is entirely up to them, and we don’t ask).
When we meet we have the opportunity to escape modern life’s pressures for a little while. Our meetings are full of happiness and laughter, and support life-long friendships we could never have made without Freemasonry. We actively support the communities in which we live, by giving time or money to help those less fortunate.
Does any that strike a chord with you? Are you are looking to belong to something which will help you grow as a person, give you more confidence, make new friends, have fun, and give back to your community? Freemasonry may well be just what you need. Explore the possibilities, with no commitment to anything other than an informal chat, by emailing our Provincial Membership Officer Mike Clay.
