The Armed Forces Lodge of Lincolnshire could be consecrated on September 16th this year at Grimsby. That’s the date currently being worked towards as the necessary steps are taken at UGLE, says Bob Chalklin, the Lodge’s WM designate.
“In early March the Provincial Grand Master confirmed he was available on that date to Consecrate the lodge, provided that we have UGLE approval and Warrant by that date, which we are working towards. This will mean that the Installation Meeting for the future will be the September meeting; appropriate at the start of the new masonic year.
“Thirty-three brethren signed the Petition for our new lodge, which was handed to Provincial Secretary Tony Miller. Dean Harlow did a sterling job, making himself available to travel around the Province collecting signatures and meeting the prospective Founders.”
The Lodge, which has eight potential joining members waiting in the wings, has already established itself on line with a Facebook page – search for Armed Forces Lodge of Lincolnshire – which features a picture of the petition handover.
