The Chairman of the Lincoln Freemasons’ Club has written to all members about the Nightingale Rooms, the city’s Masonic Centre.
Nev Storey says in a letter to all Lincoln Freemasons: “Further to my earlier statement with reference to the facilities available at the Nightingale Rooms I would refer all brethren to the guidelines already received from United Grand Lodge and the Province.
“The advice is clear and detailed in both cases, and I would strongly suggest that ALL meetings of ANY number held at the Nightingale Rooms for ANY reason should comply with the current advice available.
“This will enable us to keep the rooms open for the use of those lodges who need to hold ‘quorum’
Management meetings for the sake of their lodge’s ‘continuity’.
“We must act in the best interest of ALL brethren. Thanking you in anticipation.”
Provincial Grand Master/Grand Superintendent Dave Wheeler said: “It would be helpful for all members in the Province to understand what has been done in Lincoln, and our Superintendent of Works John Elliot will be alerting all of our centres to it.”
