The Trustees of the Provincial Grand Lodge of Lincolnshire Freemasons’ Benevolent Fund (the ’Old Fund’) have agreed to assist with funding Masonic centres in the province opening as ‘warm spaces’ for Masonic Brethren, their families and widows.
Should a centre wish to take part in this scheme an allowance of £50 per day will be paid for the provision of refreshments.
A payment towards light and heat will also be made. This will require a centre to provide the Provincial Grand Treasurer with a copy of the electric/gas invoices for the month/quarter covering the days that the centre was open as a warm space and the centre will then be reimbursed accordingly.
Any centres taking part in the scheme should advertise the days that they will be open via the Members Area on the Provincial website and to those Lodges and Chapters that meet at their centre.
Unfortunately these openings as ‘warm spaces’ cannot be used for the community at large, due to the restrictions of the objects of the ‘Old Fund’.
