Nick Berry’s installation into the chair of Lindum Lodge in Lincoln took place during its first team visit led by Provincial Grand Master Dave Wheeler, meaning that almost 70 people were present.
The ceremony was led by Richard Jones, pictured left with Nick as the Lodge called off for tea and biscuits before the officers were invested.
Underwriting the shared experience of Freemasonry at the Lincoln centre, parts of the ceremony were delivered by representatives of the city’s other Lodges, so that all eight craft Lodges took part.
At the Festive Board Nick spoke of how his interest in Freemasonry had been aroused by his Grandfather, whose advice he’d recalled when the chance to join was eventually presented. Nick was able to recall how long, to the day, it had been between his initiation in April 2015, and his installation into the Chair. He is also a member of the Armed Forces Lodge of Lincolnshire.
The installation hd been delayed by a month because of Nick’s work commitments as a member of the armed forces.
