The First Rising on 9 December 2021 contained a recommendation that Freemasons continue to wear face coverings at Masonic meetings, unless exempt.
This was in response to the rise of Omicron and in accordance with government guidance at the time. Now that the government’s guidance has changed, the United Grand Lodge of England and Supreme Grand Chapter no longer recommend that face coverings be worn at Masonic meetings. Individual Freemasons may of course wear face coverings if they wish.
