PGM Dave Wheeler made a surprise visit Grimsby’s Wellow Abbey to celebrate the 60th anniversary of W. Bro Brian Luckwell having become a Freemason.
Brian was initiated into Clarendon Lodge no.5908 in Wiltshire on 3rd May 1962, and moved to Lincolnshire and Wellow Abbey Lodge in 2008. He took on the role of Almoner in 2015, and holds it to this day.
Brian also went through the chair of the Lodge in 2018.
Still a regular attender, Brian celebrated his 90th birthday on 6th May this year, and was presented with an engraved glass from the lodge and a bottle of ‘Tyler’s Toast’ gin to put in it!
