Lincolnshire Freemasons once again stage Masons & Motors, a chance to view classic and unusual vehicles and have a conversation about Freemasonry, at Doddington Hall near Lincoln on Sunday July 20th this year.
The location’s perfect, says organiser Dave Gibson from Scunthorpe, and offers a great place in which to show vehicles at a location central to the county. Says Dave: “We’ve been running this event for several years, and on only one day was the weather not glorious. We’re hoping for blue skies and sunshine once again this year,” he added.
Dave is hoping that an aircraft from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight will be able to make a flypast during the day, though that’s yet to be confirmed. He added: “It would be wonderful to see one of those iconic aircraft. There are no more classic vehicles than those in Lincolnshire, and arguably the world!” More details of the flypast will be shared once it’s confirmed.
Full details of the event, which is free to enter for spectators, is below. Dave added: “We’re asking exhibitors to donate £5 per vehicle towards our five-year fundraising festival. Lincolnshire Freemasons are confident that by the time we get to the formal end of the Festival, on September 13th, we shall have have raised more than £2.25million to support organisations and individuals in improving their quality of life.”
