A team led by Vermuyden Lodge member Andy Urry is hard at work repairing the Masonic building at Crowle after the end wall was damaged when Storm Dennis brought down a tree.
The substantial tree punched a hole in the wall and cracked a number of courses of bricks, rendering the kitchen out of action.
At the time of the incident members of the Crowle lodges were quickly on scene to remove the tree, but the repair work has taken a lot longer, ensuring that the work can be done safely and the building is ft for use afterwards.
These pictures from the Crowle Freemasons’ Facebook page give an idea of the scale of the damage – and the repair task.
