Freemason cricketers give £765 to charity supporting people in food poverty

Kelly Lowry of We Are ONE (Outreach North East) says she’s delighted to have been given a cheque for £765 for her charity raised at this year’s Kwik Cricket tournament at Cleethorpes Cricket Club.

The money was handed over by Astral Lodge’s Master Keith Edwards watched by tournament organiser Mick Boulton, left, and Lodge Charity Steward Mike Kelly.

We Are ONE provides support for people facing food poverty including the homeless, the elderly and families in financial distress. 

Kelly sends her sincere thanks to all the Freemasons and their ladies who helped to make the day a success.

Mick says plans are already being made for next year’s tournament, which will be well publicised in due course, when teams will have the chance to beat this year’s winners, members of the ‘mighty’ Smyth Lodge.
