As Freemasons we’re active in a variety of ways to support the communities in which we live. Our financial donations to smaller organisations offer significant help to volunteers who are able to be more effective in their work thanks to our backing. But it’s not all about giving money, important though that is; our members also offer time, expertise, and dedication to community organisations. Some of us are school governors; others coach junior football teams, and still more are trustees of charities that exist to improve the quality of life for the less fortunate, such as the disabled and the homeless.
We have also signed the Armed Forces Covenant, our promise to do what we can to make sure those who serve or have served in the Armed Forces, and their families, are treated fairly.
