Lincolnshire’s Freemasons are invited to sign up for the first of two ‘Magic of the Mark’ presentation evenings. It will take place at Spalding on Wednesday April 15th, and is part of the awareness initiative being launched by the Mark’s Provincial Grand Master W Bro Steve Hallberg.
He’s keen that Master Masons in the Province are aware of the Mark degree and the advancement in masonic knowledge that it can give, along with the added fellowship that shared as Mark Master Masons.
The event is being hosted by Mercia Lodge of Mark Master Masons, and those attending will be able to hear a presentation by V.W. Bro. Derek Bontoft, PAPGM, introducing and explaining the degree, after which a meal will be provided.
Steve Hallberg said: “The intention is for Mark Master Masons to invite Master Masons along to the evening as their guests with the added incentive that a free meal will be provided for the Master Masons and Mark Master Masons who invite them along – who says nothing is free in Freemasonry!
“This is an important initiative for us as a Mark Province, and for the evening to be a success, it obviously needs us as members of the Mark degree to support it, and it is hoped that a good number of Master Masons will be introduced to the degree in this way. Brethren, please therefore, look at members of your Craft Lodges and if there is anybody you consider may be interested, ask them – they can only say no thanks and you may be even be surprised.”

• A second similar presentation takes place at St Oswald’s Lodge in Scunthorpe on Tuesday November 10th. (However, this does not preclude anybody attending either or even both of the meetings – the more the merrier, says Steve).
