This link will take you to the Lincolnshire Freemason Podcast in which Simon Noden and co-host Christopher Watkin are joined by special guest Chris Jones, the Lincolnshire Freemason who completed an extraordinary walk around the entire coastline of the UK.
What started as a deeply personal escape from mental health struggles became a powerful journey of healing, reflection and connection.
And although the walk is over, Chris is now revisiting places he passed and people he met, continuing to tell the story in the hope that what happened to him will help others. He is also in the process of writing a book about his experiences, which will be published in due course. Chris has so far raised more than £89,000 to sustain the work of the MCF, which made such a difference to his life.
In this podcast Chris shares how inspiration struck during a difficult period in his life, leading him to take on the 7,000-mile walk, supported by fellow Freemasons and the MCF. Throughout the conversation, Chris speaks openly about the physical and emotional challenges he faced, the support of his wife and brothers in Freemasonry, and the lessons learned from a journey that was as much internal as it was external.
His story highlights the strength of belonging, the hidden reach of the MCF, and how one man’s decision to walk away from pain became a story that has inspired thousands.
