Earl of Yarborough Lodge Freemasons from Grimsby have given £500 to the town’s Rock Foundation Food Bank to help people struggling to make ends meet.
The Foundation was created in 2008, and in addition to feeding about 420 people every week provides new and unique provision for young people and adults with learning disabilities and those who are disadvantaged. It operates from Heneage Road in Grimsby, with an assisted living site in Caistor.
The money, from the Freemasons New Provincial Benevolent Fund, was handed over by Lodge Charity Steward Paul Doughty, left, and Immediate Past Master Adrian Beech, right, to Steve Phillips of the charity.
The New Provincial Benevolent Fund gives all of Lincolnshire’s 76 Freemasons lodges £500 every year to donate the good cause chosen by their members.
