Residents of a Spilsby care home were invited to join Lincolnshire Freemasons for an angling competition being run to raise money towards a five-year fundraising festival to support the Masonic Charitable Foundation.
Organiser Shailen Mullen said the event had been a huge success. He said: “We invited residents from a nearby care home to take part. One of the ladies had been married to an avid fisherman, and in taking up the challenge of getting involved she was able to relive some happy memories, which brightened her day considerably. On her way back to the Care Home she thanked the organisers and asked us when the next event would be.”
