A donation of almost £6,000 from Lincolnshire’s Freemasons has reinforced the position of Swallow & Cuxwold Village Hall as a community hub by funding replacement of a range of obsolete equipment.
Thanks to the donation the delighted Hall Committee will be able to get a new marquee, chairs, and a fridge that will support the hall’s own fundraising efforts through this summer and beyond.
The funds have come from two sources within Lincolnshire Freemasonry – the Craft Freemasons’ New Provincial Benevolent Fund and the Lincolnshire Mark Benevolent Association, each of which contributed £2,879 to the £5,758 total.
This is the first time since 2019’s devastating Wainfleet floods that these two groups of Freemasons have come together to support a project with such clear community benefit.
