At a loose end on a Sunday evening? Scunthorpe member Tom Murray and his wife Clare have set up a ‘No Googling The Answers’ pub quiz that can be played by anyone – including those self-isolating.
Here’s how it works – to take part, send your email address to Tom at tomjmurray1987@gmail.com, along with your team name. At 7pm on Sunday he and Clare will email a set of questions. You’ll have an hour to email back with the answers. They’ll then mark your answers, and declare a winner.
The first quiz was run on March 22nd, with just eight teams taking part. “Teams don’t have to be made up of Freemasons,” said Tom, a member of St Lawrence Lodge in Scunthorpe. “There are no prizes, but its just a way of keeping in touch whilst we’re in isolation, and a bit of fun for anyone who’s isolated and bored with watching the TV. The more players, the merrier,” he added.
