Long Sutton Freemasons from Alexandra Lodge have given £500 to Cinder Ash Pre-School to help fund replacement outdoor play equipment.
Existing equipment at the Long Sutton Pre-School had become weathered, and replacements will enhance outdoor provision at the venue, which cares for children from six weeks to pre-school age. The funds were handed over by Lodge Master Andrew Thompson and the Charity Steward Chris Woodrow to Melissa Leuty and Charlotte Whatling from Cinder Ash.
The donation came from Lincolnshire Freemasons’ New Provincial Benevolent Fund, which has given £500 annually to each of the Province’s 76 Lodges to pass on to good causes chosen by the Freemasons themselves. Next year that sum will be increased to £1,000, which can be split between two good causes, meaning Freemasons will put £76,000 into the county’s communities.
