NHS frontline staff are amongst more than 1,000 people who will be reminded of the gratitude felt by the public during the Covid-19 crisis every time they stop for a hot drink, thanks to a mug sales initiative by Lincolnshire Freemasons.
Five members of two Lodges have produced and sold 1,019 ‘Thank you NHS’ mugs and given some to NHS staff, raising £3,729 for the NHS in the process.
Said team member Tony O’Brien: “I’ve got to say that it has been a great success and we didn’t really see us selling over 1,000 mugs. It’s great to see the cogs in Freemasonry turning together to help make this the success it was.
“Special thanks must go to Wade Price for letting us use Shampers bar in Mablethorpe for the production and storage of all the mugs and equipment. Onwards and upwards to the next task… Watch this space!”
