Freemasons of Lincoln’s Minster Lodge have given Graham ‘Teddy Man’ Cadel a boost of £1,800 to sustain his charity bear work across Lincolnshire.
Graham is Lincolnshire Freemasons’ representative for the Teddies For Loving Care charity which has given more than four million bears to distressed children in hospitals throughout England and Wales.
Said Graham: “I’m eternally grateful, on behalf of the children and their families who are given these bears, to the Freemasons who give me this money to buy more bears.
“Through our network of members we are able to make sure staff at hospitals as far afield as Boston and Scunthorpe have bears on hand for the young people at potentially distressing times in their young lives.
”It’s impossible to put a value on each Teddy for the children, and we as Freemasons are happy to help, even though we will probably never know the recipients.”
This latest donation was raised during Steve Milne’s’ year as Master of the Lodge.
Graham is hoping to add Grimsby’s Diana Princess of Wales and Gainsborough’s John Coupland Hospitals to his network during this year.
