Freemason Pete’s leap of faith puts more than £1,500 into Lincolnshire charities

IFreemason Pete Adams and his wife Sallyanne have plunged from almost three miles up to raise more than £1,500 for Lincolnshire charities.
The North Lincolnshire couple saw the county from a different angle with a parachute jump from 15,000 feet thanks to the team at Hibaldstow Skydive.
Pete, a member of Pharos Freemasons’ Lodge in Scunthorpe, said: “We were able to see the earth from 15,000 feet up, and then cover the first 10,000 feet of the return trip in about a minute, freefalling at about 120 miles an hour.
“Then we did the last 5,000 feet in another four minutes or so – under a parachute and at a far more leisurely pace!”
Sallyanne said: “It was an amazing and exhilirating experience that went perfectly from start to finish, which has left us in a bit of a conundrum and pondering “what next?”
Pete added: “We’d like to offer our sincerest thanks to everbody who has supported this initiative and donated already. There are some previous pledges to chase and the donation site remains open if anyone would like to boost our total, using this QR code.
“We set a target of £1000, but are currently at over £1,300, which is more than £1,600 with Gift Aid. Can we surpass £2,000? It would be wonderful to think so and to support local charities…”
