Ruth Curry took her once-in-four-years chance at the St Hugh Lodge ladies’ night in Lincoln when she proposed to James Barling – and he said yes!
She chose her moment towards the end of the event at the Lincoln Hotel, and popped the question on the dance floor, much to his surprise. But she needn’t have worried; Lodge treasurer James accepted her leap year suggestion.
