The open day staged by Brigg Freemasons achieved the objective in terms of the number of visitors drawn into their historic building.
The members picked market day, when footfall in Brigg was higher than other days, to stage the event, with visitors including stall holders from the market, the curious, and those who might be interested in joining. The latter group included a couple in which he’d been thinking about Freemasonry for some time, and she was delighted and interested to meet a representative of the Order of Women Freemasons.
Brigg Freemason Chris Fletcher said that for future events the possibility of having the Provincial gazebo in amongst the market stalls would be considered, raising the profile of Freemasonry still further.
