The first delivery of tiny teddies from the Freemasons’ Teddies for Loving Care charity have reported for duty at the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance.
The little bears have a vital role to play in bringing comfort to small patients who need hospital treatment for any reason, and help to make the experience less traumatic. They accompany children to surgery, into MRI scanners, and A&E departments – and now aboard the Lincs and Notts Air Ambulance too! They are also available to children whose families are torn apart by domestic abuse.
So far more than 3.5 million bears have been given away, and become lifelong friends to children whose lives they share.
The charity is led in Lincolnshire by Lincoln Freemason Graham Cadel, who’s in the centre of our picture. Graham is always looking for ways to get the bears into more places where they can help youngsters. If you would appreciate more information about the charity contact Graham Cadel on grahamjcadel@gmail.com or 07715 328350. He’ll be pleased to hear from you .
