Actual brothers travelled from Eastbourne on the south coast and Rosyth in Scotland to share in the installation of Peter Rafferty in the Master’s chair at Hamilton Lodge in Alford.
John, on the left in out picture above, came from Templar Aquila Lodge in Eastbourne; Tony, on the right, from St Margaret’s Hope Lodge in Rosyth.
Simon Noden was at the ceremony, and said: “It was a fabulous evening and Peter did a brilliant job installing his officers. Steve Povah was the installing master, and had obviously practiced to perfection to make sure Peter had the best experience possible.”
There were 72 present at the ceremony, including 38 visitors from 15 Lodges covering two constitutions, three countries, and six Provinces.
Amongst the gathering was round-Britain walker Chris Jones, who met Tony whilst he was walking through Scotland, and plans to visit John when he reaches Eastbourne.
