Freemasons from Vermuyden Lodge at Crowle have given £500 to the Friends of Connaught Court to enhance the quality of life for residents at the facility in York– and the sum has been match funded by the Freemasons’ charity the MCF, making a total donation of £1,000.
Chris Turner and Barrie Graham of the Friends committee were on hand to receive the cheque from Stuart Pearcey, left, Lincolnshire’s Provincial Senior Grand Warden, when W Bro Turner said the latest ambition was to replace a minibus and renew an ‘elderly’ conservatory.
Connaught Court is one of a number of care home run by the Royal Masonic Benevolent Institution, and the Friends Association is supported by Freemasons in Lincolnshire and Yorkshire.
