Grimsby Freemasons back Haven Quilters’ efforts to support the community

The ladies of the Haven Quilters from Grimsby have been supported in their work to make things for the community with a £250 gift from Freemasons of the town’s Astral Lodge.

The quilters meet every Tuesday at the Grimsby Masonic Hall to make all sorts of items, from small bags to be filled with things like facecloths, soap, toothpaste, crayons, paper and small toys for local families to incubator covers, hats, blankets and quilts for Grimsby’s Neonatal Unit, heart cushions for mastectomy patients and drain bags for the Breast Care unit at Grimsby Hospital, sensory cushions for children in the Special Needs Unit, and children’s quilts for Women’s Aid.
