Freemasons of Lincoln-based Lindum Lodge can’t stop giving to charity: At an event to celebrate having raised more than £40,000 as part of Lincolnshire Freemasons’ five-year fundraising campaign which collected more than £3m, the Lodge members gave away a further £2,400.
The recipient this time was FAB – Family Activity Breaks for Bereaved Military Families – which provides fun and challenging activity camps around the UK for bereaved military families, at which they can meet and socialise with others who have experienced a similar loss.
More than 60 Freemasons, family friends, and representatives from FAB gathered at a dining night attended by Lincolnshire’s leading Freemasons Dave Wheeler, who thanked members of the Lodge for their fantastic achievement in raising more than £40,000 for the Festival – one of only six of Lincolnshire’s 76 Lodges to do so.
After the Lodge had been closed everyone gathered in the Lincoln Lodge room to see a light-hearted and enlightening presentation regarding the roles of officers in the Lodge, including a contribution from the Dave Wheeler as the Provincial Grand Master.
