A team made up entirely of Light Blue members have initiated Luke Denham and James Burden in a first-rate double ceremony at St Lawrence Lodge.
And it was made all the more special because three of Luke’s friend came from Hertfordshire to see the ceremony without telling him of their plans.
Lodge member Nick Probert said: “I can still remember sitting with Tom Murray at a Ladies’ Evening when you were thinking of coming into Masonry. Now that he’s joined and risen to being Master, what an ornament he is to the Lodge – and the same goes for Ian Needham, Rowan Hansard, Rob Lang, and Karl Lycett.
“They all kept it together when the candidates got a bit ahead of themselves, and delivered a ceremony everyone really enjoyed. Craig Rodley and Jonny Read were outstanding with their floor work. It was a pleasure to see such a wonderful ceremony.”
Afterwards James said: “I’m incredibly grateful for the warm welcome during Luke’s and my initiation, and I look forward to getting to know everyone better.”
