Roger Ladds said: “This was an open day with a difference. Membership Officers from all four Lodges organised it at its the help of their wives and Lodge members.
”Showing how we work with the community we invited two of the charities we support to share the floor space, with The Butterfly Hospice and the Lincolnshire Emergency Blood Bike Service joining us.
”We were also grateful to Boston’s Department Store REBOS who lent us mannequins so we could showcase the striking robes of the Order of Knights Templar and Knights of Malta with a Craft Mason in the middle.
“All the officer’s places in the Lodge room had their collars placed on their chairs with carded descriptions of their duties for the public to read at their leisure, which proved popular and maintained the interest.
“By midday the building was buzzing, and the visitors included PGM Dave Wheeler who blended in with the locals very well and presented the two charities with donations on our behalf.”
