On the eve of Remembrance Day Afghan veteran Dean Bousfield was raised to the third degree at Witham Lodge in Lincoln.
Dean, who suffered severe injuries in an IED attack during active service, shared a minute’s silence with other Lodge members before the meeting.
Dean was the subject of an emotional but immaculately-performed ceremony, thoughtfully and sympathetically adapted to acknowledge his injuries.
Lodge Master David Phillips was assisted by his officers, particularly the operative Deacon Matt Thornton, a serving RAF officer (far left).
