Beats and bears descend on Burton estate for summer festival

Here’s your chance to have fun whilst supporting the Freemasons’ Teddies for Loving Care charity that’s helped more than four million children through the toughest time in their lives by giving them a simple stuffed toy. It’s the Burton Summer Beats Festival, happening at the Burton Estate Club near Lincoln – for those unfamiliar with the area that’s on Main Street, Burton, LN1 2RD.

There will be lots happening during the afternoon, with the bar open from noon, a barbecue, and live music from 3pm until 11 – and that makes it great value for the £17.50 entry fee – with under 16s just a fiver, says organiser Phil Crabtree from Minster Lodge. He said: “We’ll be operating a wristband system, so bring along the younger children in the afternoon, them take them home into the care of a babysitter, and come back for the evening.”

Phil adds: “Teddies for Loving Care is a great charity that changes lives for the better at what can be their darkest moments. As Freemasons it’s great for us to be able to help people at times like those, and if we can have fun whilst helping the charity at the same time, what’s not to like?”
