Runners could get a place on the start line of this year’s Great North Run with the help of the Freemasons’ charity the MCF, which has ten places up for grabs.
They’re to be allocated in a draw taking place on January 30th this year. If you’d like to be in with a chance of securing one of them, you’re asked to email your name to fundraising@mcf.org.uk no later than close of business on Thursday January 29th. You’re asked to make sure to tell them you’re a member in Lincolnshire too!
The small print
- The run is on September 13th this year
- To be allocated a place you’ll need to accept the terms and conditions that will be provided
- All funds raised through sponsorship must be given to the MCF, either directly or through a Festival appeal
- The MCF will provide running shirts, water bottles etc, full support on social media, and assist in setting up a fundraising page on the charity’s Freemasonry Gives fundraising platform.
- If you’re lucky enough to get a place, be sure to let our Communications Officer Stuart Pearcey know about it by emailing him: stuart@wordsman.co.uk
