As we approach Christmas and look forward to 2024, I reflect on the year that has passed and have a renewed sense of optimism for the future.
After some difficult times, I see our Province really starting to flourish again in terms not only of new members but also the number of people attending our meetings whether they be Lodge, Chapter, or social gatherings.
The message from the Pro Grand Master, as part of the strategy for Freemasonry, is that he wants to see a thriving, coherent organisation that is fit for purpose and embedded in our communities. There is a great deal of evidence of this all around our Province, and I am genuinely excited about the future of Freemasonry in Lincolnshire.
The reason for my optimism is the continued commitment and service shown by so many of our Brethren and Companions in ensuring that the pillars of Friendship, Respect, Integrity, and Service are not seen just as words, but are living embodiments of our organisation and how our members conduct themselves. Add to this the great enjoyment we all derive from our Freemasonry, and you will see why I am so positive about the future.
Traditional values have shaped Freemasonry for more than 300 years. I hope that everyone connected to Lincolnshire Freemasons can enjoy this very special and important time during the Christmas and New Year period.
May I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a peaceful, happy and healthy New Year.
