Father and son leave Ashlar Lodge roles on same night

Father and son Ian and Andrew Taylor both left their roles in Ashlar Lodge on the Lodge’s installation evening.

Andrew installed Darren Sewell as Master in his stead (main picture), and his dad stepped down as DC. Their last piece of ritual together was when Ian presented Andrew with his Past Master’s jewel, which Ian admitted brought a small tear to his eye.

Andrew rounded off his year with a donation of £500 to Teddies for Loving Care, which was accepted by Graham ‘Teddy Man’ Cadel (below). The money was raised at Andrew’s Ladies Night. Graham now has a range of eight enamel lapel badges, and is always keen to find a new buyer…
