Ashlar Lodge’s new Master has been given a new item of clothing – but it won’t be worn in Lodge.
Damien Footsoy was given a unique ‘keep calm’ t-shirt by his friends Chris and Chris Young-Woolley from Ancholme Lodge in Brigg.
It was an installation night for giving, because he also received, appropriately, a perfect ashlar created by fellow master Steve Milnes from Minster Lodge, who’s an operative mason. Steve joked: “It’s a big keyring, but he’ll get used to it!”
Meanwhile Graham Cadel, also from Minster Lodge, was given £500 from the £2,000 proceeds from the Lodge’s ladies night to buy teddy bears for the Teddies For Loving Care charity. He said: “This is a very generous Lodge, and thanks to this donation children in Boston can have bears. It doesn’t just happen that we can provide bears; people like you make it happen, so your donation is everything. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Rest assured this is gratefully received and will be faithfully applied.”
Provincial Representative David Buckenham and Communications Officer Stuart Pearcey, below, found time to exchange details using the new Portal app. Said Stuart: “I hope no-one has anything to say about old dogs and new tricks – but we’ve just proved how user-friendly the app really is. Portal’s functionality will be enhanced over the months ahead, so getting in at the ground level is a great start.”
