Long Sutton Freemasons give £2,800 to hospital’s breast cancer unit

Freemasons from Alexandra Lodge in Long Sutton have given £2,800 to the great cancer unit at Kings Lynn’s Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

The cheque was made up of £1,800 raised at the lodge’s annual Ladies Festival at the South Holland Centre in Spalding just before the first lockdown, and a personal donation of £1,000 from the Worshipful Master Dean Bowd and his wife Debbie.

Denise said: “This is so wonderful to receive, and will make such a difference to the team. As a Trust we are so grateful, this is incredibly generous.”

Debbie added: “The reason for this donation is in support of the Breast Cancer Unit who successfully treated a close friend at the QEH Hospital.”
