Three Horncastle Freemasons have continued their Masonic journey as it started – together!
Twins Louis and Jared Boddy, who’d been initiated into the Round Table Lodge as part of a triple ceremony with their friend Mason Bassham, were passed to the Second Degree in just the same way. It’s believed to have been the Province’s first triple passing, and followed on the heels of a double passing performed at the same Lodge.
The trio’s story had begun with a conversation round a table in a Skegness restaurant. They had begun their Masonic journey together by ‘cornering’ Tim Miller at a birthday celebration, giving him a good grilling about the craft.
Said Tim, who took the chair to initiate them: “We were at a birthday celebration at an Italian restaurant when they approached me to ask about Freemasonry. “We had a long conversation, they were enthusiastic, and said they wanted to join. I was only to happy to help them. And with names like Mason and Louis (although he doesn’t pronounce it as Lewis), I knew we were onto a winner!”
