More than fifty members and guests watched Peter Jude deliver the obligation to bring his son Charles into the Round Table Lodge of Lincolnshire.
It was a ceremony involving a number of friends Charles and Peter have known for years, including Tim Miller, who was able to step back into the Chair to conduct it.
Charles is the second successive Lewis to join the Lodge, the first having been Harry Elliott, son of D.C. John. Harry faultlessly delivered his first piece of ritual, the addition to the badge charge.
Tim said he had been hoping for years that Charles would become a Lodge member, and he had no doubt that now he had done so, he would be an asset to the Lodge.
The raffle raised £410, which was for Christmas gifts for the Lodge widows.
