Lincolnshire’s oldest Chapter installed its newest Principals at a ceremony in Gainsborough. That’s All Saints Chapter, where Clive Wyndham went into the Chair of Z, supported by Connor Burke as H and John Riding as J.
Deputy Grand Superintendent Mike Rix was there, and presented Grand Chapter certificates to Companions Alistair Duncan and Comp Dean Charles (below).
All Saints Chapter is numbered 422, which is not the lowest number amongst Lincolnshire’s 33 Chapters. Three others have lower numbers, which might suggest they were older. However, the Charter for All Saints was granted in May 1836; St Botolph’s, (272) in November 1843; Chapter of Concord (297) in May 1869; and Doric (362) in 1891.
