Members of St Pega Lodge have been given commemorative port glasses as a permanent reminder of their contribution to the Lincs 2025 Festival, to which they contributed £51,578. In presenting the glasses PGM Dave Wheeler said raising so much had been a magnificent achievement. Dave will be leading visits to all of the top-achieving Lodges in the Province as an additional ‘thank you’ to members for their efforts.
Dave said: “The decanter is one I was given by the MCF as President of the Festival. I thought it was a good idea to take it with me on the visit, along with something to put in it. I took three litres of port, and that was rapidly consumed. I shall buy more port for the remaining visits to recognise the efforts of Lodges and their Festival fundraising.
“Jez Hyland and Andy Downes organised engraved glasses unique to the Festival to celebrate the Lodge’s achievement, which were well received – though I think some will have gone home with the members…”
Tony O’Brien supplied these pictures from the night, which he said had been brilliant, and attended by 59 people.
