Richard Skells has been installed as Master of St Godric Lodge, sustaining a tradition of family involvement with the Spalding Lodge.
He said: “We enjoyed a fantastic ceremony in the lodge room before more than 80 sat down to enjoy the festive board. It was brilliant to see a full Lodge room and a lots of fun being had downstairs.”
Richard is Editor of the Mentors Chisel newsletter and a key figure in the Rough Ashlars. Provincial Comms Officer Stuart Pearcey, who also helps with the Chisel, said: “The numbers present at Richard’s installation indicate the high regard in which he, and the rest of the family, is held not only at Spalding but throughout the Province. His enthusiasm for the Chisel and the Rough Ashlars does him credit. I’m sure he’ll have a memorable year.”
Richard said: “It was a wonderful evening with my officers, brother and father in law. Was a great atmosphere!”
