Members of St Mary Lodge have brought together Lodge widows for an afternoon tea.
The event was organised by newly-installed Master Ian Miller and Almoner Alton Andrews organised the first event of their year yesterday, when six of the seven widows attended with the seventh having to cancel on the day as she was unwell. Five widows from Spalding Lodges also came, friends of friends through the South Lincs Masonic Ladies.
All were made welcome and enjoyed an excellent afternoon tea provided by the lodge caterers. Most of the ladies took home a goody bag for their supper!
A raffle raised £176 to support the upkeep of the Long Sutton building.
Saint Mary Lodge hope to make this an annual event, and hopes other lodges will also come along and bring their widows.”
