The family of Lincolnshire Freemasonry has been strengthened still further with addition of Long Sutton as our latest free coffee morning venue.
Its first coffee event takes place on Friday June 19th, when the Long Sutton Masonic hall will be open between 10am and noon.
Like the rest of the coffee mornings, these ones are being funded entirely from the Province’s Old Fund, so there’s no cost to attend.
Dave Buffham is part of the team organising the Long Sutton events. He said: “The people we’d really like to see are those members of our family of Freemasonry who are no longer regular visitors to our Lodge meetings; the brethren, who for a variety of reasons, no longer want to come out in the evenings. Even if they can’t get to our meetings, they are still part of our Masonic family, and inviting them to coffee mornings will help them to stay in touch.”
That means the invitation is extended to friends, family members, and fellow Freemasons, who it’s hoped will be able to supply lifts where necessary. Added Dave: “Everyone will be made very welcome. The Province-funded coffee mornings are proving to be very beneficial in other centres, where more than 30 people attend regularly. We sincerely hope the same will be true at Long Sutton – and what’s more we’re extremely grateful to the Old Fund Trustees for making the events possible.”
