Starting at 5pm on 5th June 2021, Mick Lake of Lindum Lodge No 5777, will be leading a small team of intrepid explorers who are aiming to climb the three highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales – all within a 24-hour period. The other team members are his son Tony Lake and their friend Lindsay Nearn.
The aim of the event is to raise £2,500 for St Barnabas Hospice in Lincoln, this being our Worshipful Master’s chosen charity for the present year. During the Covid pandemic, there has been a massive shortfall in St Barnabas’ funding so we want to do our bit to help.
St Barnabas is a local independent charity who supports more than 10,500 people across Lincolnshire with a life-limiting or terminal illness each year. They deliver free, high-quality, compassionate end-of-life care and support to patients, their families and carers. They aim to enable them to live as fully as they are able for however many days, weeks or moths they have left. They are reliant on the financial support the community provides to be there for more patients, their families and carers, every day of the year.
Most of us know someone who has benefited from this wonderful charity, so please support our endeavour if you are able to do so by using this “Just Giving” link.
