Lincoln Freemason Chris Scales is gathering support to help with the creation of a daylight craft Lodge to meet on Saturdays five times a year in the city – and if you’d like to be part of it he’d be delighted to hear from you.
He says the idea is to create a way to help brethren who find it difficult to get out at night to stay involved in Freemasonry as part of a new, as yet unnamed, Lodge. Says Chris, a past master of St Hugh Lodge: “We intend to make it something a little different. Certainly we could perform ceremonies, but it would be an opportunity for members to hear talks about Freemasonry, or from others who have led interesting lives.
“We would also be interested in looking at a different approach to the Festive Board; perhaps sharing it with relatives and friends of members who have kindly given lifts to Lodge members unable to drive themselves. We would also be interested in running white table events to spread interest and involvement with the wider family of Freemasonry.”
Chris is keen to hear from anyone interested in bringing the idea to fruition, either as a Founder Member or simply a member. He says: “There is a long way to go, but we must begin by identifying the level of interest and the people who will take the idea forward. If that’s you, please email me at cscaleslincoln@gmail.com, or telephone 07946 819541.”
