Writes Lodge Member Rob Elliott: “A bright spark lit up Industry Lodge – the Premier Saturday Night Lodge in Scunthorpe – as we welcomed a new Brother into the Craft.
“The evening was made more special because we were able to play host to the Lincolnshire Rough Ashlars of Witham Lodge in Lincoln.
“The ceremony had that unmistakable Industry Lodge flavour: warm, good‑humoured, and steeped in tradition, yet buzzing with the excitement that only an initiation can bring. Our candidate took his first regular step with confidence, supported by a full Lodge room and the steady hands of the officers who delivered the ritual with pride.
“What made the evening truly special was the presence of the visiting Rough Ashlars from Witham Lodge, whose reputation for camaraderie and spirited support proved well‑earned. Their attendance added an extra layer of brotherhood to the night alongside a visit from Thistle & Rose Lodge all the way from Scotland. We were also pleased to welcome Ian Mumby, who had been appointed as a Steward in the active Provincial team earlier in the month.
“As the final words of the ceremony settled and the lodge closed in harmony, the festive board carried the celebration forward — laughter, toasts, and the unmistakable sense that a new chapter had begun not just for our initiate, but for Industry Lodge itself.”
