Lincolnshire’s former Grand Superintendent Graham Ives has been presented with a certificate to mark fifty years’ membership of the royal Arch by his successor Dave Wheeler.
That made it a special night for the companions of the Earl of Yarborough Chapter and their visitors at the October convocation when Dave was accompanied by members of the Provincial team.
The Chapter welcomed new member Gareth Emmanuel from the Earl of Yarborough Lodge and the Lodge of St Andrew, who experienced a ‘polished’ and very impressive Exaltation ceremony in which Lindsay Studd took the chair and current First Principal Andy Gilman acted as Principal Sojourner.
Graham Ives was exalted into the Earl of Yarborough Chapter in October 1976. He has had a long and distinguished Masonic career, and was appointed Grand Superintendent in October 2007, which was followed shortly by his appointment as Provincial Grand Master in June 2008. He held both positions until 2018.
Dave congratulated Gareth and Graham on their respective achievements and invited Graham to respond to the toast to the Province at the Festive Board, which he did in his usual and inimitable style.
