Members of Gainas and Yarborough Lodges in Gainsborough are planning an assault on the Three Peaks in Yorkshire on June 28th.
The charity challenge involves reaching the summits of Pen-Y-Ghent, Whernside, and Ingleborough, which means walking almost 40 kilometres – 24 miles in old money – and climbing 5,200 feet, and it’s to be achieved in 12 hours. There’s an £80 entry fee for the guided hike, and anyone who’d like to take part is asked to contact Gainas member Steve Martin on martinspj@sky.com
