Five members of Skegness-based Lumley Lodge are taking the right steps in Freemasonry with their starter cases on what turned out to be a busy night for the Lodge.
A quartet of Apprentices and a Fellow Craft have been presented with the cases, made possible because of money left to Lumley Lodge by the late W.Bro Bob McAndrew.
The ‘starter case’ idea is one that’s being picked up with enthusiasm at centres around the Province. Initiates are given cases on loan, containing the appropriate apron and a selection of useful literature to help them feel included and welcomed into their Lodge. The cases are returned to the Lodge when the new members reach their third degree, so they can be used again for another new initiate.
Meanwhile, the Lodge initiated its second candidate of the year. He is Graeme Driver, seen below with the Master Simon Noden and his wardens, both also called Simon.
And to round off the evening, Provincial Senior Grand Warden Gary King was at the meeting and presented a Grand Lodge certificate to Vic Fox.
